Organizing
Jamie has spent much of the past 20 years organizing rallies, protests, and conferences in an attempt to bring people together to fight for important causes.
He organized RootsCamp, the largest progressive unconference in the country. Under his leadership, RootsCamp grew from a few hundred attendees to nearly 3,000. Additionally, Jamie has organized and led events in support of marriage equality, women's reproductive justice, the overturning of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, fighting climate change, Black Lives Matter, immigration, and in support of dozens of progressive candidates for office. By building a coalition of more than 200 organizations, we brought nearly 10,000 people to the Supreme Court in support of marriage equality, and thousands of others at several other events. Additionally, Jamie has worked with the AFL-CIO, and Wellstone Action Fund to produce similar conferences and events.
